RICKY KEJ PART OF 2016 GRAMMY WINNING ALBUM ‘GRACE’ AT THE 58th GRAMMY AWARDS

After making India proud by winning the Grammy award in 2015, Bangalore based Composer Ricky Kej collaborated with US based musician Paul Avgerinos on his album ‘Grace’ which went on to winning the 58th in the Best New Age Album Category that was held on February 15, 2016 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. Ricky Kej was also an integral part of 2 more albums that were nominated for the 2016 Grammy Awards: Wouter Kellermans ‘Love Language’ and Ciro Hurtados ‘Ayahuasca Dreams’ for the Latin Grammys.

On his involvement in the 2016 Grammys, a very excited Ricky Kej said, “I would like to wish my friend Paul on his well-deserved win at the 58th Grammy Awards and would like to thank him, Wouter and Ciro for making me a part of their beautiful projects. After winning the Grammy Award last year, I feel thrilled and humbled to have been part of a Grammy Award Winning Album and 2 Grammy Nominated Albums this year”

Ricky Kej accompanied by his wife, Varsha Kej walked the 58th Grammy Red Carpet. Ricky was styled by Los Angeles based Designers Mike and Tony, while Varsha wore a self-designed Ethnic Indian Saree Ensemble. The husband and wife duo were adorned by jewelry from India’s largest jewelry retailer that made its grand International Debut on this extravagant occasion.

Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej has acquired a host of accolades over the years, including a Billboard #1 position, two ZMR awards (Zone Music Awards, USA), two SAMA awards (South African Music Awards) as well as a 2015 GIMA award and Mirchi Music Award in India. Known for making music from the heart, Ricky’s music is an extension of his own beliefs and philosophies- not following current trends or commercialization.

A true champion for the World Music and New Age genres, Ricky is constantly collaborating with artists from India and world-over. Ricky is a firm advocate for conservation, animal rights and music therapy. While his network of collaborators grows larger with each new production, at home in Bangalore, Ricky runs two full-fledged studios where he and a tight-knit team of devoted engineers and musicians create the magic of music.
