SuperChef Chennai is back with its hugely successful International Food Carnival for food lovers of Chennai, and offers Chennai cooks the chance to win its coveted fifth edition title of SuperChef Chennai 2017!
On 4th and 5th February 2017, Madras Cosmopolitan Ladies Circle 38 and Madras Cosmopolitan Roundtable 94 offer both Chennai foodies and Chennai cooks a weekend to remember. This year, Rotary Club of Annanagar, Dist 3230 is a co-organiser for the event. Back with its hugely successful International Food Carnival on the 4th February at Amir Mahal grounds, Royapettah, SuperChef Chennai brings to you curated and exclusive offering of out-of-the-box cuisines and food vendors yet again. In addition, the classic two-stage, high profile, cooking competition slated for the 4th-5th continues, this time offering its coveted fifth edition title to the winner. The Park presents Cardia Life SuperChef Chennai: International Food Carnival: Exclusive yet large scale
On the back of the resounding success of our inaugural carnival last year, organizers offer highly exclusive out-of-the-box food vendors to Chennai foodies, curated by the highest standards. There are to be 60 food stalls and 10non food stalls, with sufficient seating capacity for eating. Audience profile expected is an equal mix of foreign expats, tablers and friends of tablers as well as general public. To be held at royal Amir Mahal grounds at Royapettah, this spacious, private outdoor venue will be the perfect backdrop to our exclusive event. We promise Chennai foodies a tantalizing treat in the form of stalls of exotic food from across the world from Nasi Degang of Malaysia to a Thai fried chicken to Kashmiri ristas to Japanese sushi to Belgian waffles, be prepared for a gastronomical ride around the world. This, in addition to the old favorites with a twist from a small town mess as well as Parsi and Burmese caterers. If you were not spoilt for choice yet, you will be with the offerings of our our home cooks and past SuperChef winners and participants who will add home cooked specilaities to the menu! An entry fee will filter the crowds to an expected footfall of 4000 pax.
The Park presents Cardia Life SuperChef Chennai: Cooking Contest:
SuperChef Chennai is a city wide cooking competition for amateurs cooks- open to men, women and children with a passion for cooking, aged above 15 for the general category, and 10-14 years for the Junior SuperChef category. The event calls for registrations with recipe names in Adults Individual category and Kids Team (of 2) category of ages 10-14 years, there is also an exclusive Round table and Rotary team (of 3) category this year.
The contest invites its registrants to bowl over the judges with their pre-cooked specialty dish on the preliminary round on 4th February at The Park Hotels. 12 finalists in each of the three open categories will be put to the ultimate test of live cooking on February 5th, 2017. This round will comprise live-cooking challenges with a wide SuperChef pantry with undisclosed contents, all in front of the media’s and the celebrity judges’ watchful eyes. The most original and creative dish that impresses the judges will win the coveted fifth edition title of SuperChef Chennai 2017. Entrusted with the tough job of judging is the esteemed accredited panel of The Park judges, comprising Rajesh Radhakrishnan (GM), Chef Ashutosh and their teams, along with celebrity judges Vicky Ratnani of NDTV Good Times and Chef Sanjay Thumma of Vahrevah fame, and Chef Aditya Bal celebrity chef and cook book author of Chak Le India. Up for grabs are surprise first prizes in each category.

Majority of the proceeds go to support the long standing health project of the Round table94 – Sanjeevi- Primary Healthcare centre in Maraimalainagar, along with a few other charities as well.
