Back in Feb 2016, SuperChef Chennai draws in Chennai Foodies for its Food Carnival for the first time, in addition to attracting Chennai cooks at its fourth annual cook off!

Madras Cosmopolitan Ladies Circle 38 brings to you the fourth edition of its highly successful Cook Off called SuperChef Chennai in February. The first-of-its-kind event of 2013 is back with the comfort of the familiar and the excitement of some things new! The classic two-day, high profile, cooking competition is slated for the weekend of 27th-28th February 2016. In addition this year, the cook off will be preceded by SuperChef Chennai Food Carnival offering  an exclusive offering of out-of-the-box food vendors to Chennai foodies on 21st February at Amir Mahal grounds, Royapettah. The event is sponsored by the Hatsun Curd and The Park Hotels, Chennai.

SuperChef Chennai Cooking Contest:

SuperChef Chennai is a city wide cooking competition for amateurs and semi professional cooks – open to men, women and children with a passion for cooking, aged above 15 for the general category, and 10-14 years for the Junior SuperChef category. The event calls for registrations for Amateur Adults in Team or Individual categories and for Kids of ages 10-14 years in the Junior category. In addition, this year also includes a new category of semi-professionals that is culinary students or chefs-in-training that raise the bar, drama and excitement in the SuperChef kitchen.

The contest invites its registrants to win the hearts of the judges with their pre-cooked specialty dish on the preliminary round on 27th February at The Park Hotels. From this point, 12 finalists in each of the four categories will be put to the ultimate test of live cooking on February 28th, 2016. This round will comprise live-cooking with a surprise ingredient box, and a SuperChef pantry with undisclosed contents, all in front of the media’s and the celebrity judges’ watchful eyes. The most original and creative dish that impresses the judges will win the coveted title of SuperChef Chennai 2016. Entrusted with the tough job of judging is the esteemed accredited panel of The Park judges, comprising Chef Rajesh and their teams, along with celebrity judges Vicky Ratnani of NDTV Good Times and Chef Sanjay Thumma of Vahrevah fame. Up for grabs are the grand first prizes in each category of exotic holidays for two to Kumarakom or Goa sponsored by Jet Airways and The Park hotels and high end kitchen appliances and gift hampers galore.
